In Memory of Sean Taylor

My dearest friend Sean Taylor passed away on Tuesday, August 6th, 2019. He meant everything to me and always looked after me. We were inseparable in high school, and everyday he waited for me in the parking lot after class so that he could give me a ride home. When I stopped being lazy and wanted to learn how to drive, he spent hours teaching me. We loved record-shopping, playing video games, watching movies, sharing laughs, and having deep conversations while gazing at the stars from our backyards.

Sean was the one who took me under his wing and encouraged me to pursue a creative passion that defines such a huge part of my life today. I would have never accomplished anything in music if he hadn't recognized my potential and believed in me before anyone else did. We were already living out our dreams together as teenagers. And through adulthood, he guided me through the best and worst times of my life. I always knew I could seek his love and wisdom when I needed it the most.

Sean truly gave his heart and soul to those he loved, especially his daughter Reyna who was his greatest joy. I am just one out of so many lives that he touched, and I don't know how I'm ever going to get by without physically seeing him. But I do know that he will always be with us. I promise to honor and celebrate him by being the best person I can be, and I will make him proud.

Rest in power, Sean. I love you so much, brother.
